Cooking with Cloves
Health Benefits of Cooking with Cloves.
Did you know Garam Masala has cloves in it? Cloves are a healthy spice. Quite healthy in fact. Cloves have an amazing level of antioxidants which includes a various antioxidant compounds. Some of those compounds include two very well-researched antioxidants, anthocyanins and quercetin.
In our Garam Masala, cloves are used for upset stomachs and other gastro related challenges. Cloves have expectorants which make it easier to cough up phlegm. Clove oil is used for diarrhea, hernia, and bad breath. Clove and clove oil are used for intestinal gas, nausea, and vomiting. Fortunately when you eat Garam Masala, you will consume cloves as part of your regular cuisine.
Part of Garam Masala is to make sure you don’t add too much because the clove spice can over powder your dish. Even though it is healthy, the taste can really mess up your dish if not properly balanced with other spices.
Don’t think about eating cloves alone. Cloves have a strong flavor and tough texture that doesn’t really make them the best stand alone snack food, which can make it tough to consume cloves on a daily basis.
